The Technique

Facilitated Breath Repatterning

A practice of returning home through the breath.

What it is

The body knows how to heal. We create the conditions.

Facilitated Breath Repatterning is a breathwork technique which promotes a deeper connection to the body and greater awareness of functional breathing mechanics. Sessions are facilitated with care, always in person, and built on the understanding that the body holds more than ordinary attention can reach. FBR draws from conscious connected breathing, somatic bodywork, and therapeutic practice, synthesised into a coherent facilitator-led form.

A facilitator accompanies the process through touch, sound, and presence. They read what the breath and body reveal, holding the container so that what is ready to move can move.

What it does

With each breath, we participate in the human capacity to reorganise what has been stuck.

We use the breath as a lens and a tool. To better meet the moments and stressors of life, and to connect more deeply to the intelligence already present in the body. The effects are felt across four dimensions.

Physical

Held tension finds movement. Breathing patterns shift. The body becomes better resourced to meet what life demands, with resilience rather than effort.

Mental

Clarity arrives. Not as new information, but as a shift in how you relate to what you already know. What once felt urgent begins to settle.

~Emotional

What the body has been carrying can finally move. Grief, relief, tenderness. Not forced. Simply allowed.

Spiritual

A felt sense of belonging, difficult to name. Many describe it as a return to something they had forgotten was there.

What to expect

What happens during a session.

After settling into the room, you lie down and breathe for approximately sixty to ninety minutes. A facilitator is with you throughout, reading what is happening in your body and breath, responding accordingly through touch, sound, and verbal guidance. Every session is different because the body leads. There is no script, so what needs to surface, surfaces. This work is always done in person, never online.

Landing

The body settles. The facilitator establishes the container. A ground from which the session can unfold.
